Blake and Nadia first met each other while attending Penn State University as undergraduates. Their shared love of wildlife, baking, and video games resulted in a friend ship (and shared tattoos) that the two will always cherish. Blake is the reason why Nadia is so passionate about reptile husbandry and education!

Best Man

Brother of the Groom. Eric first Matthew in January 1994, when he arrived on the planet along side his twin sister, Kristin. Eric was characteristically very upset about these new additions to the Hill family and wanted them returned to whence they came immediately, but warmed up to them over time. Eric and Matt are now the the Hill family funny-men, making quips and jokes wherever and whenever they are together.

Kristin is the younger sister of the groom, Eric Hill, and the twin sister of the best man, Matthew Hill. Kristin and Nadia first met during the former's wedding in Pittsburgh, just a month after Eric and Nadia started to date! The two immediately bonded over silly stories about Eric, and continue to send each other silly cat photos. As her future sister, Nadia knew that she wanted to have Kristin standing with her during her big day!

Paul Bayer

The husband of Bridesmaid and Eric's sister, Kristin. Eric first met Paul in May 2017, when he and his mother went to Berlin, Germany to visit Kristin. Paul, who at the time was one of Kristin's friends, immediately impressed Eric with his encyclopedic knowledge of and passion for history, as well as his quirky and friendly demeanor. Eventually, Paul and Kristin's friendship grew into something more, and they married in 2018.

Nadia knew that the first time she met Rachel they would eventually become family. Rachel's marriage to Eric's cousin, Andrew McNemar was the first step of that vision. Now, Nadia is happy to call her cousin! Both women have bonded over their love for plants, cooking, animals, and pulling silly pranks on their partners!

Eric's cousin. Eric gives enormous credit to Andrew for shaping his sense of humor by exposing him to internet culture and the absurdist and irreverent animated shows of Adult Swim at a young age. Always the "bad influence" when Eric was younger, there were very few times when they were together that didn't result in one or both of them getting in trouble. As adults? Much better behaved, and glad to have fun stories to look back at and laugh.

Sara Isgate

Sara and Nadia met during a weekly coffee hour in the Forest Resource Building at Penn State University. Sara was a graduate student working on behavioral patterns of american bluebirds, and Nadia was a research technician in a forest genetics lab. Their interests in bird watching, animal psychology, and makeup jump-started a strong bond between the two. The two have competed in the Penn State Birding Cup for two years in a row, and hope to win the third year (Go Jurassic Squawks!).

Paul Winter

One of Eric's closest friends and caver extraordinaire. Eric first met Paul in Fall 2010 as a freshman at Penn State, when he attended a Nittany Grotto Caving Club meeting after hearing about it from his at-the-time roommate. This not only resulted in Eric discovering a new and exciting hobby in the form of caving, but also a community of supportive and like-minded people who now form a large part of the Eric's social circle. Eric credits Paul and the rest of the caving community with helping him blossom socially during his early adulthood years, and is overjoyed to have him present at his wedding.

Michael Thomas III

Flower Dude

A Garzione-Hill wedding would not be complete without a flower dude. As the oldest of Nadia's two younger brothers, Michael has always brought a smile to her face with his jokes and pranks. The two have always had similar interests in video games, trading cards, music, anime, and manga (Nadia takes all the credit for that). Keep your eyes peeled for the flashy music, fanny pack full of petals, and the glint of sunglasses as he struts his stuff down the aisle for his sister!

Nicholas Thomas

Usher/ "Head of Security"

If you need help getting to or finding your seat, Nick is there to assist you! As the youngest of Nadia's two younger siblings, Nick proudly stands as the tallest of the trio and he will never let his siblings forget it. He is currently a member of his high schools football team, and is training for the 2025 season! In addition, he shares a strong love for animals and the outdoors (Nadia also takes all of the credit for that).
