[Chloe's POV] It was July 18th, 2024. While on a work trip, I was scrolling through insta & came across a happy birthday post for Brandon. I instantly clicked on his profile and saw this photo of him – great tan, great arms, the backwards hat, tattoos, they all got me. After consulting with a girlfriend, I shot my shot (being more silly than serious). "Is he looking for a gf?" Later, I received a follow and message "Yes" from Brandon Christopher Schafer. Little did I know I was meeting the man that the Lord had for me! The man I had prayed endlessly for. After weeks of long distance, chatting on the phone, I had already fallen for him. And now we're here! Every time he makes me laugh, prays over me, takes the weekly trek from McAllen to Austin to see me, I fall even more in love. [Brandon's POV] Chloe first met my older brother, Cameron, at a church worship night he was leading. Not long after, Cameron posted a birthday message for me on Instagram with a picture. The moment Chloe saw it… it was game over. She’ll say she was intrigued — I say she was hooked from first sight ;) All jokes aside, we met unexpectedly, but in hindsight, it was clearly perfect timing from God. In just a matter of days, Chloe went from someone I had never met to the love of my life. It’s still wild to think about. In less than two years, we’ve already walked through more than most couples probably expect to face early on. Long distance with no clear end date. Leaving stable jobs to step into the unknown and start a new business. And plenty of obstacles that seemed to come one after another. But the beautiful part is that we faced every challenge and every attack from the enemy side by side. And through it all, we’ve only grown closer to each other and, more importantly, to Jesus. There’s a deep peace that comes from knowing we can handle whatever life throws at us together. That confidence makes me so excited for our future. And while we’ve weathered some storms, we’ve also had so much fun along the way — traveling, golfing, karaoke nights, and more laughter than I ever thought possible. Chloe brings a joy into my life that I didn’t even know I was missing. She loves Jesus wholeheartedly. She puts family first. And I already know she is going to be an incredible mother one day. Chloe, I love you, sweetheart. I cannot wait to marry you and spend the rest of my life building something beautiful together. Let’s do this.
