Amber and Gary met at the Yall Come Back Saloon on Saturday, December 10th, 2016. Amber was enjoying a beer purchased for her by a bar patron when Gary sat down next to her. Said bar patron made some inappropriate comments at which point Amber had the patron escorted out by staff. Gary should have known right then that Amber was feisty! Gary got in line for karaoke while Amber stood behind. After Amber requested her song she turned around from the booth, to notice Gary looking at her. She remembered really noticing him at this point. She thought he was extremely handsome with sparkling eyes and knew he was not from around that "part of the woods". Gary got up to sing "Creep" by Radiohead (he says he warned her he was a "creep" right then but Amber is stubborn and doesn't listen). He remembers Amber locking eyes with him while he sang and she smiled at him through out the entire song. Amber then got up and sang Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" (note: Stevie Nicks was a favorite crush for Gary for many years). The two chatted about music a moment when Gary asked Amber if she wanted to hang out with their group after. She accepted and off they went. They laughed often and he says she talked a lot. When it was time to part, he asked for her number. Amber got his instead. After about two weeks she texted. He was living 3 hours south and she was on a farm with little to no cell phone tower reception, thus beginning a texting relationship. He invited her for a holiday but she had plans with family. Six weeks after meeting for the first time (but texting daily) the two finally meet up. Amber would send him good night selfies of her face before bedtime each night. Gary would drive up every weekend for the next four months to visit her or Amber would take the train down for the weekend. She took a leap of blind faith and moved in with Gary on May 28th 2017 and it has been fun times ever since. The chemistry between these two is one of a kind!
