Both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Morris Estate at 1560 Morris Drive in Niles, Michigan. You’ll park once and enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening in one beautiful setting. It's a short, walkable distance from the parking to the chapel or you can opt for The Morris mini-shuttle. The ceremony will be held in the chapel, originally built for the Morris family’s daughter’s wedding in 1938. The reception will follow in the tented space on the estate grounds, with cocktail hour in between the chapel and tent overlooking the St. Joseph River.
We’re going all out and dressing up for the day, and we hope you will too. The attire is garden formal. Jackets are requested. A suit or sport coat is perfect, but tuxes are not necessary since our wedding party has that covered. Ties are welcome but not required. Dresses, jumpsuits, and polished separates are all wonderful options. Have fun with colors and patterns. Late September here is still beautifully green and festive, and remember, there will be only one person wearing white that day. 😉 The tent has a solid floor so wear your favorite dancing shoes! Our biggest wish is a full dance floor.
We have one heartfelt request: an unplugged ceremony. I would love to see your faces, not phones, as I walk down the aisle. Once we’re outside and the ceremony has concluded, feel free to take photos and share them. We’ll be thrilled to see the day through your eyes.
