We’re getting married!

Andrew and Emily met during their junior year at Indiana University. Believe it or not, Emily made the first move. Andrew’s fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi, was paired with Emily’s sorority, Delta Zeta, for a mixer. Andrew showed up in a full-on sweat set—hood up and everything—looking completely uninterested in the chaos of the party around him. Emily, fashionably late as always, spotted him and figured he’d be an easy target given the circumstances. She tapped him on the shoulder and asked, “Wanna shotgun a beer with me?” That simple question kicked off a night of laughter and conversation that lasted until sunrise. In the weeks that followed, Andrew kept texting, still trying to "shoot his shot." Emily wasn’t sure she was ready for anything serious, but eventually agreed to hang out again at his fraternity house. That night, something clicked. Emily realized Andrew was different from anyone she had dated before—he made her feel truly seen and appreciated. Andrew started inviting Emily to Indiana University Men’s Basketball games—a big deal, considering he’s not the kind of guy who likes distractions during an IU sporting event. That’s when she knew it was getting serious. After graduation, they did long-distance for a bit, with Andrew driving from Chicago to Cincinnati every weekend. Eventually, they moved in together in downtown Chicago. Six years later, after they first met, Andrew pulled off the surprise of a lifetime and proposed—without Emily’s ultra-observant self suspecting a thing! Now, they’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and happiness. They can’t wait to spend forever together!
