We have allocated a shuttle to drive to and from the 3 hotels in the area. The GrandStay, SureStay, and Hampton Inn. The shuttle ends at 12:00AM.

There is very limited parking at the venue location. We recommend using the shuttle.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We are looking forward to having our guests relax and enjoy an evening of celebration—our wedding will be an adult-only occasion. We politely request no children at this private, intimate event.

What is the bathroom situation?

Even though we are having an outdoor wedding, we will be providing a luxury restroom trailer fully equipped with a toilet, running water, sink, mirror, and A/C. Two stalls for women. One for men.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is "wedding casual". It will take place outside, at our family lake home. August is a hot month. We want you to be comfortable. For women, we suggest sundresses. For men, we suggest country club attire. Shorts are acceptable. Note: this will be a grassy ground. Consider this when selecting shoes.

The ceremony will take place on a sandy beach. The reception will take place on grass. Please choose shoes accordingly.

We will have a completely open bar onsite. Only consideration is to tip the bartender.

Are the events inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be outside. While we will have covered tents, there will be no climate control. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

When should I book my hotel?

Answer

If you plan to stay one night, we recommend booking at the GrandStay ASAP. There is very limited availability due to another wedding. We were able to pre-block only 10 rooms. Reference last name, Garry to access the 10 available. If you can book without using the pre-blocked rooms, please do so. That way, when the hotel fills up, others can use those that were reserved. The Hampton Inn is the closest to the venue. This is a two-night minimum only. Hampton Inn offers a discount code but reservations are on a first come, first serve basis. Again, we recommend booking sooner than later. Lastly, the SureStay has 15 rooms blocked. It is also a two-night minimum. We recommend trying this hotel if the above hotels are booked up.

The closest hotel to offer a one-night minimum is the GrandStay Hotel at the Little Crow Country Club.

If you are staying only one night, book at the "GrandStay Hotel & Suites New London-Spicer-Willmar". Booking is limited due to another wedding. If you plan to stay more than one night, out of respect for availability, please book at either the "Hampton Inn Spicer Green Lake" or the "SureStay By Best Western Spicer". Thank you.
