We met at a Halloween party! Julia dressed as a SWAT officer, Garrison dressed as a priest. At some point during the night between the sirens and the sermons, Garrison offered Julia a drink without seeming to notice her full cup. Without missing a beat, he asked, “Do you want some more?” After that, we talked and danced for a while until Julia got a text from her friend saying she needed help. Being the good friend she is, Julia told Garrison she’d be right back. Garrison, however, was convinced he had just heard the oldest trick in the book, but she actually meant it! When Julia came back and tapped him on the shoulder, he turned around completely shocked. He couldn’t believe she came back. To this day, it’s a running joke in both of our families:“She came back??” What started as a Halloween party that neither of us intended to be at, turned into something neither of us expected, a real, lasting love. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
