Dianna and Garrick met in Chicago in January of 2015. When work sent Dianna to Asheville (AVL) Garrick helped pack her up and said goodbye. The distance brought them closer though. Dating from afar and meeting in Lexington, KY as a halfway point, they explored new cities together, hiking along the way. Their first hike together was at Panther Town Valley in the Nantahala National Forest. Garrick made the move down to AVL in fall of 2017. Shortly after, they bought a house in colorful West Asheville and added more color by adopting Bleu, a boisterous rescue dog. On Easter day 2019 Garrick suggested Panther Town Valley for a day hike. After they had lunch, under Granny Burrell Falls, he proposed. The wedding was absolutely perfect. 9/19/2020 - Don't postpone joy! We did, however, have to postpone our reception a bit. We cannot wait to celebrate our love with everyone on our one year anniversary.
The Farm has been in the Kolb family since Helga and Gerhard purchased it in 1969. Covering their property in late summer are delicious ripe blackberries. At D+G’s home in Asheville, the backyard is littered as well with blackberries. They have come to be a symbol of love and remeberance. Sage cultivates wisdom and clarity. Clearing the way for a new beginning.
