I actually dreamed about Garrick one month before we met the first time, lol. I had just graduated from grad school (May 2018) and I prayed, asking God to show me who my husband would be. I literally dreamed about Garrick (not knowing he was in the dream) that same night. Nights before I dreamed of him, I began writing out a detailed list of what I seeked in a husband (64 specific details to be exact🤣). I prayed over my list and wrote Habakkuk 2:3 on it, declaring and decreeing over it. Nevertheless, a month later after my dream, I was at a social gathering and Garrick came up to me and asked me if I wanted to share a cigar with him. I looked at him and said, “I don’t know where your mouth been!”🤦🏽‍♀️🤣. We laughed, talked for a few, and that was that. A month later, my sister and I were out for my birthday. She saw Garrick with his friend, and she got my attention saying, “Girl, look at him! He look like he’ll be good for you!”. I looked at him and said to her, “Hey, you remember me telling you about the dude that asked me to share a cigar with him? That looks like him, but I don’t think it is. Girl, anyway, I’m here to enjoy my birthday!”😂 My sister and I ended up going to another section of the lounge that we were in to hang out with our cousin. As we were walking to that area, there was Garrick. My sister and I came to the table where my cousin was, and Garrick was at the table behind us. There were no available seats, so Garrick came up to me (both of us not knowing who the other was😂) and asked me, “Excuse me Miss, but would you like my seat?”. I looked at him, smiled, and said “No thank you”. My sister, LOUD🤣, then says, “Girl!!! He said something!!”. My cousin then says, “Oh, yall talking about Garrick? I know him!”😳. My cousin calls Garrick over and we began talking. Garrick then asked for my number. We talked on the phone for 8+ hours (after work EVERY day, yall😂) for a week... and here we are today🤣🥰
