December 7, 2019, Garric and Dara matched on Hinge. He asked her what her shirt said (Mornings are for Mimosas) and that started what would turn out to be a month long conversation on various topics until they finally met in person on January 7, 2020, the day after Dara's birthday. On March 7, 2020 Garric popped the first big question of Dara being his girlfriend. It is worth noting that this date is not fully known, however since none of them remember nor have digital reference of the day, the 7th sounds about right. Nine days later the entire world shut down and out of the safety for their loved ones, the two weren't able to see each other for two full months. Throughout the rest of the year, they kept it safe and only saw each other every couple of weeks until 2021 when they started to become inseparable. The year of 2021 was met with many adventures including Vegas and the introduction of parents on both sides. As their love grew, so did their shared interests of television, movies, and having different restaurant experiences (ask them about the fondue). The year of 2022 was met with trips to Buffalo, New York, and Niagara Falls, as well as, loss with the unfortunate challenging time of Garric's father's passing. Both are grateful to family and friends for all of their support during that difficult time. After months of secret planning, Garric surprised Dara on July 30, 2022, by getting down on one knee and asking the biggest question of their lives in front of their closest friends and family in Malibu, California. On October 7, 2023, Garric and Dara will say "I Do" in Bakersfield, California and they cannot wait to share their special moment with all of their loved ones. They welcome everyone to share in the start of their marriage as they take this next step and then head to Disney World for their honeymoon toward the end of 2023!
