Our Story

Garrett & Angelina met at movie nights with friends. They remained on campus at the start of the covid breakout and grew close. The others pictured claimed to have sensed "a spark" between the two.

When they returned home, they began texting, playing games, and facetiming for endless hours. It wasn't long after that they officially began dating on May 25th/26th (its up for debate), 2020.

When they returned to campus, strict COVID protocols meant they had to get creative with seeing each other, which meant online classes outside, getting their biweekly covid tests together, & more.

All their dates took place under this tree in Fannie Mae Dees park after dark (to avoid getting caught breaking COVID policies). Late night parks provide some...interesting entertainment from locals.

In winter of 2020 they finally got to visit each other's families. Bonus-they got to see their faces in daylight (no masks)!

For fall 2021, Garrett decided to study abroad in Dublin, Ireland. Angelina visited him in Avalon, NJ over the summer. The two soon went back to long-distance dating.

In spring of 2022 they finally got to go on normal dates, including semi-formal and formal events at college.

Recognize that park in the daylight? For old times sake they had a picnic there in May 2022–an early celebration of their 2 year anniversary and a goodbye for the summer.

One year later in May 2023, Garrett proposed to Angelina under that same tree!
