The Madison Concourse Hotel is right off of State Street and the Capital Square. There are tons of restaurants and shops on State Street. On Saturday mornings there is a huge Farmers Market on the Capital Square.

This was our go to place when we lived downtown. It offers food and drink options, as well as the best ice cream around! Usually will have live music going on Friday nights. Definitely would recommend!
Dane County Farmers Market
Capital Square, Madison, WI
This takes place on Saturday mornings. Opens at 6:15 am- 1:45 pm. It does get pretty packed as the morning progresses.
