We actually met 10 years before we started dating. Our little brothers played travel baseball together and we spent many weekends tagging along because we couldn't drive, and what else were we going to do without our family for the weekend. Throughout those 10 years we kept in touch, always making sure to see each other when our schools played each other, a few trips out to Kinkaid lake to visit, and a few times Emily chickened out of pushing the relationship any further than that. Eventually she came to her senses and we finally got together. Since then, we've experienced a long distance relationship, crazy work schedules, dental school struggles and victories, and our first home together. We may have taken the long way getting here, but we will always be thankful to have made it.
