Devon and Garrett's love story began just one door apart at Rivers Edge Apartments in Greenville, SC which is honestly the most convenient distance for two people destined to fall in love. When Devon first moved in, she immediately noticed the very handsome guy down the hall. Devon and Garrett crossed paths a few times quick smiles, brief hellos, and one memorable elevator ride where Devon walked out thinking, "Okay wow, he’s really cute and I really hope I didn’t say anything weird". Eventually, Devon decided she needed to know if this door-away neighbor was single. So she chose the most logical, mature method available: a handwritten Post-it note. She stuck it on his door, knocked, and then sprinted back to her apartment like her life depended on it, praying she didn’t seem like a total lunatic and that he actually remembered who she was. Later that night, right before bed, she opened her door to check… and there it was. The Post-it, now on her door, with a neatly checked “yes” and Garrett’s number written on the back. It was the cutest, simplest little moment but for them, it changed absolutely everything. From a post it note to starting a lifetime together proves that sometimes love is really just one knock (and a small dash of bravery) away.
