"Hey same tribe!!"-Garret sliding into Abbey's Facebook DMs. In August 2020, Garret and Abbey met when they were placed on the same tribe in a Survivor-themed online reality game. The game slowly moved to the back burner though, as they began to spend more time together. They got to know each other through many game nights, late night video calls, and lots of flirtatious texting. What started as long Facetime calls discussing strategy in the game turned into long Facetime movie dates with neither wanting to hang up. In January 2021, Abbey flew to Pennsylvania to finally meet Garret in person, and the rest is history.
