Garrette and Richie met on the app that is designed to be deleted, Hinge. When Garrette first swiped on Richie in August 2022, Richie immediately thought it was a prank and some "guy" was swiping on him. He was ecstatic to learn he wasn't being punked. After talking for over a month and Richie getting Garrette's number by saying he had some cool pictures of sea shells from Sanibel to show her, they went on their first date at Skillets. In true Garrette fashion, she was an hour late (whoops) and the rest is history!
