Mission Beach Boardwalk
Energetic boardwalk on the beach with restaurants, bars, and endless people watching. Belmont Park (on the boardwalk) entertains many with rides, mini golf, and other activities!
San Diego Zoo
Arguably the most beautiful zoo in the world. Make sure to bring sunscreen and good walking shoes!
La Jolla Cove
Incredible place to see the ocean and some lounging seals!
Balboa Park
Start at the "Rose and Cactus Gardens," then explore eastward past Bea Evenson Fountain toward the Museum of Us.
The Joint Sushi & Tapas
The Chu-Toro Nigiri and Lemon Basil Salmon Roll are our personal favorites! For something not so fishy, the Goat Cheese & Marinara is also incredible.
Nico's Mexican Food
Cash-only Ocean Beach taco shop. The California burrito and rolled tacos with cheese and guacamole are our favorites! Make sure to get plenty of red and green salsas to take with you! (You can't go wrong with a California burrito at most of the taco shops in San Diego, but definitely grab extra salsa wherever you go)
Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar
Amazing seafood with even better views! Would recommend making a reservation ahead of time or getting there early.
