"How did you meet?" and "How did you propose?"
I met Garnet Clarke in 2018 at a Purim Party in TLV.
We stayed in touch periodically with a "Hey, how’s it going? Let's hang out!"
It wasn't until the beginning of this year, after thyroid c, I realized I needed to surrender to Hashem. Little did I know, during that time, my occasional swiping would reconnect me with my B’shert. At that time, I was working close to San Diego, where she had lived for the past decade. Fast forward six months, there was no time like the present. After receiving the blessings from both of our families – I had a family heirloom, a heart-shaped garnet fashioned into a ring.
On Sunday, September 15th, I crafted a sign, set up a picnic in a rose garden, and got down on one knee. As she turned around surprised (the adorable look on her face was a moment I will always cherish), I asked for her hand in marriage and thankfully, her answer was “YES!”
