We matched on Tinder and he reached out right away. He asked me if I was free to go out that night and, while I did have plans, I had a feeling that I should cancel them and say yes to a date with this guy so I did. My intuition is always right. Neither of us was looking for anything serious and I wasn't sure if we'd ever see each other again but we could not stop thinking about each other. After 4 months of keeping things casual, we decided to make it official and it was the greatest decision of our lives! A year later he asked me to move in and very soon after that started saying he wanted a dog. I refused every step of the way, saying I didn't want the responsibility and enjoyed my freedom. Well, just a few short months after that, Lola came into our lives and he got his wish! With a pup added to the relationship, it was time to find a place that suited our little family. We moved to our second home together and started the healing process for our little girl. Then the pandemic hit just 6 weeks after us moving. We had to leave the place we were renting and headed off to our third home together, a small one bedroom apartment on the third floor. It didn't take long for me to realize that we needed a yard for this wild Lola and a one bedroom just wasn't going to cut it. While in our third home together, we faced a pandemic, quarantine, working from home, unemployment (life of a chef!), and 11 months into it, he proposed! While many couples were breaking up during this time, we were only growing closer and stronger together. We realized this was a forever thing and he put a ring on it. Then, just a month after that, we moved to Providence, our fourth home together, so I could have an office space and Lola could have a yard. Fast forward to now, we're in our fifth home together, third state, and embarking on lots of new adventures in the Hudson Valley. Life is sweeter together. And we can't wait to celebrate our love and you all! You all are our support system, our tribe, and your love and support carries us through all of the rough times. We wouldn't be who we are today without all of you and we can't wait to party!
