In 2017, Steve had to find a last minute place to live. He found a townhome in Parker but it was already rented. The owners mentioned they were on vacation but they had another townhome for rent in the same neighborhood. He figured he could make any place work for a year. He moved in and we would chat once in awhile if he was grilling out back. We realized we had a mutual love for wine. He mentioned we should go to the next Parker Wine Walk. When that day came around Steve had had a long day but wanted to keep his word so he knocked on my door. I peaked out through the blinds and thought "CRAP! Tonight is the wine walk!" It was hot and I had just had surgery on my leg. I had a sexy compression sock on and the last thing I wanted to do was walk. He convinced me to go though. It ended up being a lot of fun and our first "unofficial" date. We stumbled home, he offered to make something to eat and I was shocked at what a gentleman he was. I didn't realize they actually existed. Kind of like unicorns. Earlier that year, I had mentioned to my family I was DONE dating. I said "The only way I will meet Mr. Right is if he shows up on my doorstep and rings my doorbell." Later that year we started hanging out more but it wasn't until January 26, 2018 when we went out on our first "official" date.
