Pittsburgh Cookie Table

The Pittsburgh Cookie Table
The Pittsburgh Cookie Table is a very special Pittsburgh wedding tradition that is believed to have begun by European immigrants during the Great Depression.
Couples were getting married, but because money was tight and times were difficult, the couple could not afford a wedding cake.
In lieu of a cake, family and friends stepped in to help the couple celebrate their marriage by baking cookies and sweets, many of the recipes were passed down generation to generation.
Many years later, the cookie table has remained as one of Pittsburgh's most beloved (and Delicious!) wedding traditions.
We are bringing Sean's hometown tradition to Michigan. If you would like to participate, please reach out to Sean or Hayley for details.
