Our Story
Their love story began in September 2022 -- two souls seeking change embarking on a journey to find someone who loved the Lord and wanted to begin a God-centered relationship.
Josiah and Kayla met on a dating app in September 2022. They began briefly talking, learning more and more about each other each passing day. They eventually began video-chatting daily and the laughs and conversations they shared were early signs that they were destined to be in each other's lives. They decided to meet in person on October 8th, 2022 and had their first date in Downtown Wilmington with dinner, an escape room, and a fireworks show. They decided to officially pursue a relationship later that night and have been inseparable ever since.
Josiah proposed to Kayla on November 10th, 2023 at Assateague Island with a brief walk on the beach -- a message in a bottle waiting for Kayla at the shore. Inside was a beautiful poem where Josiah spoke from his heart asking for Kayla to be forever his.
