Where will the wedding be taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception are being held at the Peachtree Pointe venue at Lake Lanier Islands in Buford, GA. The ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will be held indoors at the same location. No driving is necessary to get from one venue to the other.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm. Seating will commence one hour prior to the ceremony start time. We are kindly asking that all guests arrive forty-five minutes to one hour before the ceremony is set to begin.

What is the appropriate attire?

Answer

This is a formal/black tie event. We implore you all to look your best and dress to impress. Out of respect for the bride, please refrain from wearing white or ivory. Absolutely NO STREET CLOTHING ALLOWED - (jeans, t-shirts, khakis, polos, sneakers, hats, etc.) - you will be barred from entry. Ladies ought to wear a chic, knee-length cocktail dress or full-length evening gown. A dressy jumpsuit or pantsuit will also work. Feel free to bring a change of shoes in order to put the dance floor to good use! Gentlemen ought to wear a tuxedo or dark two or three-piece suit.

Do I have to RSVP?

Answer

Yes; an RSVP is absolutely mandatory. This is our method of guaranteeing sufficient seating and meals for each one of our guests. You may only RSVP for the alotted number of guests listed on your invitation. You will not be able to fill in a name for a guest who was not invited personally by the bride and groom. In the event that you are unable to attend, we kindly request that you still indicate so through an RSVP.

May I still attend the ceremony or reception if I have not RSVP'd?

Answer

Regretfully, NO exceptions will be made for guests who show up without having RSVP'd.

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request that all RSVPs be made through our wedding website (RSVP tab above). You will be prompted to type in your name and further directions will be provided from there. Follow along until you receive your confirmation. If any issues or confusion is encountered, the bride or mother of the bride may be contacted to confirm an RSVP.

Please be sure to RSVP by August 1, 2021.

What should I do in the event that I/we cannot make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If prior to the wedding, notify either the bride, the groom, or the mother of the bride as soon as your plans change and you can no longer attend the wedding. For day-of complications, please only contact the wedding coordinator, Olivia Hines.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Although we would love to accommodate everyone who would like to celebrate this momentous occasion with us, we have a strict guest list. We can only host guests whose names were listed on the invitations. There will be a hostess checking for names at the door. Individuals who show up and are not on the guest list will be escorted out by security.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please advise us of any food allergies or sensitivities that may impact your dining experience. Arrangements can be made to have a customized meal curated for your dietary needs.

Is there a cost for parking? Where can I park?

Answer

Complimentary self parking is available on site.

What safety measures are being put in place due to COVID-19?

Answer

Although we are elated to celebrate this moment with all of our loved ones, the safety of our guests and staff is our number one priority. With that being said, please STAY HOME if you begin to exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to anyone carrying the virus. Sanitizing stations will be set up at different corners of the venue. Masks will not be required, but we fully understand that everyone's comfort levels may vary. With that being said, please feel free to wear your masks and social distance if you so choose. Your preferences will be respected. Additionally, we strongly encourage all of our attending guests to get vaccinated.

What is an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

An unplugged ceremony encourages our guests to be fully present and enjoy this time with us as we exchange our vows. We are asking that NO photographs nor videos be taken outside of our designated media vendors. It is absolutely imperative that we create clear and technology-free sight lines for them to capture the magic. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos, videos, and snaps as you wish! Be sure to use our wedding hashtag #Wedded2Williams and our Snapchat filter when posting in order to share special shots with us!

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

There will be a complimentary open bar provided for the cocktail hour as well as two hours during the reception. After this time, there will be a transition to a cash bar. We encourage you to bring cash if you wish to indulge in drinks for the remainder of the evening.

What is the weather like in GA during this time of year?

Answer

Days fluctuate between warm and cool temperatures while the evenings are brisk. We encourage you to travel with a light sweater or jacket.

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

If you are not driving to the celebration, please download Uber or Lyft to facilitate your travel needs. There will not be anyone available to assist with transporting guests.
