Amazing restaurant and great bar to grab a drink!
Lakeside dining and the local watering hole! Recommend for a lunch beer on the lake to dinner. Don't miss the t-shirts.
Cozy restaurant within the Manor on Golden Pond for dinner! Guests can choose to dine in the main dining room or on the outdoor terrace.
Convenience store offering grocery items, a full coffee bar and to go breakfast and lunch items! It can get pretty tight on the weekends so we recommend calling in your sandwich in advance if you can.
We love this quirky cafe in Sandwich (drive away from Holderness/Meredith). Pick up your coffee, snack, or sandwich to go and poke around the several antique shops that are in the tiny town of Center Sandwich - on the same street as the cafe.
Farm market, kitchen and bakery with great local produce - and apple cider donut hut. You can find some of their products (like the donuts) at the Squam Lake Market Place too ;).

Rent a boat for a day out on the lake. They have a number of vessels available and depending on the engine, you might not need a boating license. Right in Holderness!
Rattlesnake is a light, moderate hike that offers amazing views!! From the parking lot for West Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead, follow the Old Bridle path up to rocky outcrops overlooking Squam - 1.7 miles roundtrip. The Mount Morgan trailhead is across the street and is slightly more challenging - around 3.9 miles round trip. A small parking lot for both trails is off of Route 113 in Holderness, just past Pinehurst Rd ~ 10 minute drive from Holderness lodging. These trails are popular so parking gets tight! We recommend carpooling. There are several other hiking options around that you can find with a quick google search!
