It all started in February of 2019. Katelynn came down to Estero, FL to interview for job at Living Waters Church as the worship pastor for a new campus. Her first event of that weekend was to lead worship with Garett, who leads at the Estero Campus. Garett always likes to remind her that she was late for rehearsal that day and gives her a hard time about it. They both told their oversights that this wasn't going to be a "thing" that everyone thought it was going to be but who were they foolin? They became super close friends when she took the job and moved down. They would begin to hang out everyday with their friends, Stew & Karlee Borst, almost everyday and enjoyed being around each other. One thing led to another and Garett began to start texting Kate outside of hanging out with their friends and one text would turn into hours of talking, flirting, and getting to know each other. Garett knew that Kate wasn't messing around when it came to relationships because he knew that the next person she would date, would be the one she would marry. He knew that he wanted to make this more than just a "friendship" and so he made the appropriate moves to seek wisdom from their oversights to get the green light to date her and he did! It was a seamless transition from friends to best friends and from a friendship to a relationship! They have a blast together. They are always smiling, always enjoying life, always messing with each other. They are BEYOND excited for this new adventure ahead as husband and wife and are ready to begin this journey together.
