Melissa- We initially met on our college campus (Lincoln University of Missouri) in 2010 but we both were in relationships at the time so nothing came of the introduction. A few years later, there was a "numbers" game being played on Instagram. The numbers game consisted of you liking someone's photo and that person would post a photo of you and tell what/if they like about you. Moment of honesty....I was very curious of what he thought of me because I was interested in him as well. Of course, he said something that I really liked and was intrigued by so I commented on the photo and we preceded to converse back and forth. After a brief conversation I took it upon myself to DM him on Facebook and gave him my number to further get to know each other. Almost six years later we are about to be married.

He Proposed!💍

David proposed to me on July 3, 2018 after months of planning the proposal. The proposal took place at Cheesecake Factory. July 4th is my cousins birthday so the dinner was disguised as her birthday dinner. According to David, he wanted to make sure my entire family was present and that I was completely shocked. I was definitely shocked. David made sure my best friend (she was hiding in the restaurant prior to the proposal) and also his mom was there. It was the most amazing day of my life and being surrounded by my family was absolute bliss. The purpose of that specific day was to propose on/around (July 4th) the birthday of an important person to him, his deceased father.
