One Friday night in July, our mutual friend Caitlin Thorpe decided to play matchmaker. Caitlin invited Katy to a law school reunion dinner at Ninfa's on Navigation (an iconic Houston Mexican restaurant). Andrew walked into the bar and Katy was immediately smitten. Dinner involved little talking but many furtive glances across the table. After dinner, the group went out downtown and at some point during the night, we ended up in the same backseat of an Uber. We spent the rest of the night on Katy's balcony overlooking downtown, talking and drinking wine until the sun came up. We have been inseparable ever since. (Well... as inseparable as you can be living 8 hours away!)
