Our story began in 2023 at Park Hill Church, where Jessica and her friends invited Dylan to sit with them during a Sunday morning service. During this first interaction, Dylan thought to himself, "wow, how do I talk to a beautiful girl like that?" At least that's what Jessica likes to think. Dylan did not get her number, but he did find out that Jessica was in a church community group, and Dylan had conveniently just signed up to be in one. Turns out God really does have a plan, because Dylan was placed in Jessica's group! After six months of getting to know each other in community group and during the occasional beach day, Dylan eventually got the hint when Jessica invited him to her birthday party in June. The pressure was on, as Jessica then announced that she was moving to Pasadena for grad school in September. The summer was spent enjoying the beach and park days even though Dylan was hobbling around with a broken foot. They officially became a couple on August 16th, 2024! The past couple of years have been filled with endless fun with many adventures while getting to know each other's families and eating lots of tacos. Jessica and Dylan have also had the opportunity to navigate the joys and challenges that a semi-long distance relationship has had to offer. They are looking forward to celebrating the continuation of their story with everyone in a few months!
