Brian and Melanie met first at Fencing Club, then realized they had fallen into the same f*+riend group. After living next door to each other in the dorm, they got to spend more and more quality time together. They became very close friends, then realized it was something...more than that. Brian confessed to their friends Matt and Aster that he had feelings for Melanie, to which they [not Brian] began plotting to make him fess up to her. Their friends had dealt with the oblivious mutual pining for long enough. After some real pushing and shoving, Brian told Melanie how he felt (during move-out day before winter break no less), and she reciprocated. Their first date was going to see Little Women in theaters. After multiple years of long-distance dating during the COVID-19 pandemic, remote college, and post-college jobs, they were able to move out together to their first apartment. Brian proposed on June 15th 2025 at Pickity Place in Mason, NH, where they frequently go to lunch together. )
