We're Getting Married!

Thanks to a catering company called Crew Staffing we met at work in downtown Houston at a ballroom wedding reception! I approached Nga while working as a server. Believe it or not, she was acting as security and stood in front of a purple curtain. Naturally, I was curious to know what’s behind the curtain. I walked across the empty ballroom to this fine woman and smooth talked my way into having her pull back the curtain. We both shared this special moment and the wedding event began shortly after. All throughout the night we’d catch eyes and I’d sneak food to her during the event. When the event was over I asked for her number and offered my seat on the shuttle bus back to our company’s HQ. We went on our first date the next day. Well, depending on who you ask, it could be taken as our first “hangout.” We became official when I announced to our friends that she was my girl. The rest is history 💍

We spent the summer traveling across Asia, visiting Thailand 🇹🇭 South Korea 🇰🇷 Singapore 🇸🇬 & her motherland Vietnam 🇻🇳 Deep into our summer adventure in Singapore 🇸🇬 we visited Gardens at the Bay. We laid under the towers of lights and in that moment I saw our future together.

During the winter of 2021 my trues assembled in Houston for a top secret mission. The modest proposal was to originally take place at Discovery Green. Unfortunately we had to abort mission due to crowding issues. We quickly scrambled and opted for a fake Christmas 🎄 lights photo session in downtown Houston. Under a tunnel of lights, I got behind her and dropped to one knee. I tapped her shoulder and asked what’s behind the curtain? She turned around, completely taken by surprise, she was overwhelmed and responded with Yes!
