Once upon a time, there was a quiet boy named Steve and a sweet girl named Gaonou. Steve and Gaonou would met through a mutual friend, but only in passing. Though their meeting was brief, she noticed his smile and his good nature. He thought she was cute and and wondered if he'd have a chance. But the good Lord had other plans and they went on their merry ways to live their own lives. Gaonou stayed in the urban jungle of Pittsburgh and Steve ended up in a far off land, Virginia. Over the years, she noticed his adventures through the magical world of social media and quietly rooted for him from afar. He went on to build beautiful things in his garage and rooted for the Yankees. Unknowingly, seeds of curiousity were being planted in each of their hearts by their friend who'd share stories about one to the other; who began to wonder and hope that these two would find their way to each other one day. Eventually, the quiet boy and and the sweet girl found themselves caught in the whirlwind of their buddy's wedding festivities where they couldn't help but be drawn to one another. Every now and again, they would each disappear from the festive chaos always finding the other in the same quiet corner. They bonded over the calmness of each moment, talked about sports, and discovered each other's love of a good IPA. She was smitten by his smile all over again, and he found himself gravitating toward her all night. Under the twinkling lights of a dance floor, he mustered up the courage to ask for a dance. She nervously accepted as she took his hand. This time, the good Lord smiled. He had already written their names next to each other in his big book of happy endings, and was waiting for this exact moment to start unveiling his beautiful secret to them. Both wondering if the other was feeling the spark too, they agreed to keep in touch after a whirlwind of a weekend, and Steve quietly made his way back to the far off land of Virginia. Just a few weeks later, he made the seven hour drive back to Pittsburgh to take Gaonou on their first date. Four weeks after their first date, he'd spend Thanksgiving weekend with her family. Three weeks after Thanksgiving, she'd spend Christmas with his family. And just one week after Christmas, he got down on one knee. Under twinkling lights, she took his hand and said the easiest "yes" of her life. And they'll live happily ever after.
