We met on the first day of Freshman year of college. We both were wearing worn out dirty converse shoes. Makana made the first move saying "I like your shoes". The brilliant Ganling thought she was making fun of him and replied "Thanks". The rest is history.

There was no real proposal! Makana kept asking Ganling to marry her when the world started shutting down due to covid. Ganling had the audacity to refuse her a few times before finally agreeing to elope. We are so excited to finally be able to celebrate with our loved ones!!
