It is a hot summer night in the middle of June 2021, and Lexi is mindlessly swiping left on potential matches on Tinder. She's decided on trying this app for one month exactly, at the suggestion of her brides at BlueHouse Bridal. She was days away from deleting the app and not expecting any results, until she sees one profile of a handsome guy who wore too many graphic tees but was interested in the same things as her, and had the same views on important social issues. She sends a "super like" and waits. Around the same time, Garrett, affectionately called "G", was casually chatting with some prospective dates, but wasn't finding anyone to really hold his interest. He was also days away from deleting his account because his son, Luka, would be in town for the entire summer. On one of those last days he came across Lexi's profile, carefully curated with glam pictures and a clever bio (that he never read), and sent a "super like" and waited. They started messaging almost instantly after the match. They talked about everything under the sun and were starting to build a genuine connection. They decided to make the jump and meet in person. July 3rd was the day they decided to go on their first date, and G drove up to Indianapolis from Bloomington. As he was pulling into Lexi's alleyway to park and finally meet her, he gets T-Boned and totals his car. They spent the first two hours of their date trying to find a rental car so he could make it back to Bloomington. But due to the holiday weekend, nothing was available. They had no choice but to stay in Indy for the night, and Lexi would drive G back down the next day. Later that night, they shared a perfect meal at Mesh on Mass Ave, and talked for hours. Things were going great and they decided to make their relationship exclusive and delete Tinder. When Lexi and G drove to Bloomington the next morning, they had to go to his parent's home. So on the second day of meeting each other, Lexi met G's parents and son. The following day, Lexi's 4th of July plans fell through and she asked to stay and meet G's friends. He obliged and she was completely engulfed in his world now. They kept growing together and eventually moved in together. Almost a year after, they took their dream trip to Paris where G proposed under the Eiffel Tower. That led them to now, where they will tie the knot on January 1st.
