FAQs

Question

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

Yes. We kindly ask that you do not attend if you have chosen to remain unvaccinated. It's too risky for us as we would like our guests to be comfortable going mask free.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

October: 52°F to 73°F Mexico City has a rather temperate climate, with temperatures not getting too hot or too cold. Days are warm and evenings might need a sweater!

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Shoes that are comfortable to walk in. La Roma and Polanco are very walkable neighborhoods. A light sweater, the evenings drop to the low 50's.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

It’s considered cocktail but we want you to dress as your sexiest most indulgent self. However, we just kindly ask that you do not wear Red.

Question

Best way to get around town?

Answer

UBER. It's VERY cheap.

Question

Is it safe to walk around at night?

Answer

We'd never ask you to travel somewhere if we thought it wouldn't be safe. The neighborhood we're staying in (La Roma) is super safe and a trendy part of town so you'll likely see people out and about all the time. That said, just be careful like you would in any city.

Question

Can we drink the tap water?

Answer

No, it's not safe to drink the tap water but we'll provide you with some bottled water. We recommend grabbing some extras from the hotel or nearby corner shops.

Question

Do you tip in Mexico City?

Answer

Yeah it’s customary to tip at restaurants, bars and taxi drivers. Anywhere between 10-15% is normal, 20% if the service was really good!

Question

Do you need a passport to travel to Mexico?

Answer

Yes, duh.

Question

Do we need COVID test flying back to my home country?

Answer

Check your country's travel advisory page closer to the date to see the most up to date information. If you do need a COVID test, the hotel can easily and happily arrange it for you. They will likely have someone come to the hotel, if not your hotel room!

Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

We recommend you bring some masks with you as some locations still require them throughout Mexico.
