Our Story

It's a Small Town Love if I've ever seen one..

Keith and I actually first met in middle school at a track meet. Fun Fact: We actually went to the movies together once in 2007 with some friends (Sally and Steven, who are both in our wedding party!) and saw "Blades of Glory." I somehow do not remember this at all, but they all insist it happened! We reconnected several years later, in 2017. Bronx and I were living in New London and I randomly saw Keith one day at the gas station. He had just gotten off work in Vandalia and was on his way home, probably stopping for breakfast burritos. He said hello in passing, then later sent me a message on Facebook. We started talking some, mostly about how much I worked and took care of my son and how he was working and trying to figure out which direction life was going. He asked me to go out with him, and I agreed to a dinner date. That evening finally came, and I didn't hear anything from Keith.... for hours. Finally, around 8:30pm, I get a message from him that simply says "wyd?" At that point, I was on a mission to get my own dinner as I assumed he had stood me up, and told him so. He apologized profusely and insisted he had accidentally fallen asleep. This seemed like a pretty pathetic excuse, but those who know Keith, know it was absolutely true. I eventually agreed to have dinner with him that night and we ate a late meal at Drake's. From there, we began spending a lot of time together and he met Bronx, who decided he was a keeper. Keith eventually moved in with us and we've been on this journey together ever since. We've been on two cruises together and multiple beach trips, seeing some beautiful places. We've been to some Chiefs and Rams football games, a Royal Rumble, more YMCA Saturday sports that I can count and a few dance recitals. We've eaten a lot of delicious food and had a lot of fun together. In 2019, we moved into our first place together. In 2020, we found out we were pregnant with Ginny! In 2021, Ginny was born! In 2022, we moved into our current home, and later that year found out that, SURPRISE!, Macie was coming to join our family as well. She was born in 2023 and we were engaged later that year! 2024 has been spent wedding planning and being excited for our wedding day! We can't wait to spend all of the future years together, continuing to grow and build our lives together. Thank you for being a part of it!
