Voted the most beautiful beach in the world so many times over that we lost count. Park at one of the Kailua beach parking lots and walk up the hill into Lanikai (street parking is seldom allowed). Bring your floaties, some poke, some drinks, and don't forget to clean up your 'opala (trash) before you go!
Sunrise is the best time to go!
Where we had our second date! If you are a fan of fancy cocktails, whiskey, leather couches, fancy hipster bartenders, or just a good time, BLA is for you. Book a reservation online before you get to the island though because this tiny bar books up fast!
Where we had our first date. Needless to say, we had a blast :) Great pizza, great beer. The white pizza is our personal favorite.
Our go-to date night spot. Delicious small plates, big plates, and cocktails in the heart of Kailua. If you see Kristine (the manager and Emily's high school friend), tell her we say hi :)
Our favorite trivia bar with delicious local beers and seltzers on tap!
We're getting married here!
Where Emily first met Zack's parents! This charming craft beer tasting room is one of our favorite spots for a pauhana (after work) drink. Bonus: They've recently expanded to a bagel shop on weekend mornings!
Another favorite town date spot. Go for happy hour deals and make sure to get a mai tai!
Delicious food and a beautiful view of the Ko'olau Mountains. Their weekend brunch special is pretty great too!
Where we pick up our Beer of the Month club beers. Delicious beers, wines, and small bites. Come here before you go to dinner or happy hour at Moku!
The best brunch you may ever have. Emily's favorite is the Kalua Pig Hash while Zack likes the Potato N Eggs.
A BBQ lovers dream, make sure to get one of their *special* slushies!
One of our favorite Waikiki brunch spots!
A true Kailua installation. Great food and cocktails, right across from the beach!
A must-try for visitors post-beach. No matter the flavor you get, always spring for ice cream at the bottom and a snow cap on top!
The sight of many a bookstore date
