No. We got married in the midst of the pandemic on October 24th, 2020 with our immediate families. We certainly missed sharing this special moment with all of our loved ones, but we aim to make up for missed celebrations at our delayed reception!
We have carefully considered the risks of holding our reception, and encourage our guests to make the decision best for them. We also strongly encourage our guests to receive the COVID-19 vaccination prior to travel and attending our event this summer. If you do not wish to receive your vaccine then we do ask that you receive a COVID-19 test within 72 hours of our reception. We have mitigated risk by moving the majority of our event outdoors, eliminating the sit down dinner, encouraging mask wearing and social distancing for those who have not received a vaccine or who are considered "high risk."
No. In an effort to move the majority of our reception outdoors we will be serving heavy hors d’oeuvres, dessert, and late night snacks. While we will not be serving a sit-down dinner we aim to serve plenty to keep you satisfied throughout the evening.
The nearest towns are Carrboro and Chapel Hill. There are several hotels within about ten minutes of the venue, along with VRBO and Airbnb options.
Officially: Cocktail attire. But please wear anything that makes you feel good- suits, sport coats, shirt and slacks, dresses. Bear in mind that a good portion of the event will take place outdoors in the middle of a warm Southern summer.
