Over six years ago, Austin and Savannah's love story began on the pool deck of Ohlone Junior College during water polo season. Bonding instantly over their witty sense of humor, they soon went on their first date, watching the animated movie "Sing" together. After the film, they continued their dates, finding any excuse to hang out, even if it meant just listening to music and finding new similarities to bond over. Their love for each other grew stronger with time, fueled by their shared goal to become teachers. A year after Austin transferred to California State University, Chico, Savannah joined him. There, they played water polo, took classes together, made lasting friendships, and thrived in their college community. As graduation approached, they eagerly began their careers as educators in Newark, with Savannah landing a first-grade teaching job and Austin teaching Special Education at the Junior High School. After a few years of teaching together in Austin's hometown, they were able to buy their first home. Six and a half years after their first date, Austin proposed to Savannah on a Costa Rican beach during a dream vacation. Now, Austin and Savannah eagerly anticipate the next chapter as husband and wife. They are excited to continue to grow with each other and share new experiences as they prepare for their wedding in June.
