We are thrilled for you to join our intimate, natural, and fun celebration at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden's Pritzlaff Conservation Center! It is such a special place. All of the festivities will be held outdoors on the patio and lawn of the Conservation Center. There is an indoor gallery room with restrooms and a spectacular upstairs deck with views of the Channel Islands!
This event is a formal outdoor event. guests may need to walk on a natural path and will stand in grass...stiletto at your own risk. We know you won't get cold because you're from the Midwest but it can get a little chilly when the sun goes down so consider bringing a sweater. IMPORTANT NOTES: The Garden is a very special place. Their sole mission is dedicated to the preservation of native plants and species. The Conservation Center is host to an active laboratory to do this work. Please help us honor their mission by acknowledging our privilege to be guests of the Garden. Let's celebrate responsibly and leave the garden as beautiful as we found it. There is absolutely NO SMOKING permitted on the grounds at any time. PARKING/DROP-OFF: Parking for the event will be in the EMPLOYEE PARKING LOT behind the Conservation Center. This area is separate from the main Garden parking lot and entrance it also has a different address which we've noted.
4:30 pm
Guests should arrive at 4pm. A brief ceremony will begin on the lawn at 4:30pm. Grab a drink at the outdoor bar before we begin ;) Immediately following the ceremony an open-bar and a grazing table will be served on the lawn. Eat, drink, and enjoy that breath-taking views...of the bride, obviously! A few wedding party/family photos will also be taken during this time prior to dinner.
6:00 pm
A buffet dinner of local favorites will be served and enjoyed on the lawn around 6pm. There will be chicken, beef, and veggie/vegan options with salad and sides. Please do let us know if you have any other dietary needs/preferences that we and our caterer would be happy to help accommodate.
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
No DJ, but we'll have some tunes, vibez and dancing on the patio. Andy may have an acoustic performance up his sleeve. Small-bite desserts will also be put out during this time. Clossssiiing tiiiiime: Unfortunately, the Garden party must end promptly at 9pm. Candice and Andy already tried fighting for our right to party and we lost, so we will just need to peacefully take our party elsewhere.
9:00 pm
The Bride and Groom are working to secure a group transportation option back into town to continue celebrating in the infamous SB Funk Zone. More details on this to come but it will most likely end up at one of a few places with a nice patio like Test Pilot or Brass Bear. It would be cash-bar from this point on for the night. Guests would need to plan their own transport back to their accommodations at the end of the night but we will be in a very central location.
12:00 pm
Let's reminisce and chill on the beach! This will be a very laid-back day. BYOB and snacks. Try to be discreet if you bring booze on the beach. Andy will pack a few snacks and drinks. Bring towels, blankets or a chair if you can. Also note, there's a super popular and cute restaurant right on the beach called the Boat House if you wanted to grab a heavier lunch or dinner. it can get pretty busy. P.S the water will be freezing but Andy will go in if you go in...
