Let’s take a trip back to June 8th 2023. Guess where we met? That’s right- BUMBLE! Oh boy was it a match made in heaven. I sent that first message saying: “ Hi there! How’s your summer going?” And, well, I guess that worked- because he replied! Now, a little side note to us matching...It was very close to not happening. If you’d seen the photos he had on profile- the one with the fish, and those ridiculous Pit Vipers- you’d understand why! Lucky for him, there was one photo of him in a cowboy hat, and I though to myself, “Ehhh okay, fine that’s kinda hot!” Swipe right it was. A few days later, on June 11th , we went on our FIRST date at Barrel House in Sioux Falls. It was a rainy day. Austin was stressed because he had shampooed his car seats earlier and wasn’t sure if they were dry yet. We talked, laughed, and had a few drinks. When the rain refused to let up, we decided to head to Dave and Buster’s. Yes I kicked his butt at every game! From that night on, we truly never left each other’s side!

From October 28th to Nov 2nd, 2024, we took a trip to Mexico with my best friend and her husband. Let me tell you- getting Austin to agree to go (and actually getting his passport) was a challenge in itself. The moment we arrived, I went to planning. I had our entire week packed with excursions and adventures, while Austin... Well, he would’ve been perfectly happy spending everyday at the pool with a drink in his hand. I did let him have one day of relaxation and we booked a dinner at the resort’s sushi restaurant later that evening. We planned to meet our friends for photos beforehand, so of course, we had to look cute! Now, let’s rewind a few months. Austin had told me to go ring shopping, so naturally, I took that as a sign since I mentioned Mexico would be an amazing place to get engaged at! So, right before our trip, I did what any curious girlfriend would do... I searched through that man’s entire suitcase. Every pocket. Every shoe. NOTHING. So I went to Mexico convinced he dropped the ball! Then came October 29th... we meet our friends at the beach for photos, and the wind was driving me crazy- blowing my hair everywhere. I kept switching sides, trying to get it to cooperate, While Austin kept saying “What’s that?” and pointing behind me. I ignored him at first, well, priorities- MY HAIR! But when I finally looked, he dropped down on one knee! We were both speechless and then BAM!!!! I tackled him so hard and grabbed that ring! Yelled out “I GOT IT!! I GOT IT!!! Poor Austin was still laying in the sand! We got backup and I just couldn’t believe, I get to marry this man!
