Bride
The visionary, the planner, and the sparkle behind this whole wedding. She’s the girl with a thousand ideas, a Pinterest board for everything, and just enough sass to pull it all off. When she’s not busy being Nathan’s biggest fan, Penny’s cuddle buddy, or Daisy’s queen, she’s making sure this wedding is equal parts gorgeous and unforgettable. Kelsey is the heart, the hype, and—let’s be honest—the real boss of James and the wedding party.
Groom
The man of the hour (or let’s be real, the man of Kelsey’s lifetime). He’s the calm to her storm, the logic to her Pinterest-board chaos, and the reason this wedding is happening in the first place. When he’s not making Kelsey laugh until she cries, he’s usually hanging with Nathan, wrangling Daisy (the dog), or pretending Penny (the cat) doesn’t secretly run the house. James is the guy who keeps it steady, keeps it real, and somehow still said “yes” to planning a wedding with Kelsey. Legend.
Man of Honor
Our son, our pride and joy, and the real boss of this whole wedding. Forget “ring bearer”—he’s been promoted to Man of Honor. As James’ stepson (though around here “step” doesn’t really count), he pulls double duty as both the ultimate sidekick and the built-in comic relief. He’s the kid who keeps us laughing, keeps us grounded, and keeps reminding us that snacks are more important than stress. Honestly, he’s everyone’s favorite (we’ve accepted it), and he knows it. Whether he’s cracking jokes, gaming, or side-eyeing the mushy stuff, Nathan is proof that family really is the heart of this day. Fair warning: his dance moves might just steal the show.
Matron of Honor
The definition of ride or die. She’s been there through all the ups, downs, plot twists, and late-night “am I being dramatic?” rants—and she’s always been firmly Team Kelsey. Kaley is the kind of friend who will hype you up, defend you without hesitation, and then make you laugh so hard you forget what you were mad about. As Matron of Honor, she’s not just standing beside Kelsey—she’s proof that true friendship can handle it all and still come out stronger (sparkling water in hand). Also, fair warning: she will 100% cry during her toast, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Best Man
James’ long-distance brother-from-another-mother. He may live in Maryland, but the second he and James see each other, it’s like no time has passed—straight back to inside jokes, questionable ideas, and a beer in hand. He’s loyal, hilarious, and the ultimate partner-in-crime. Basically, if something wild happens at the reception, chances are Scotty was involved (or dared James to do it).
Maid of Honor
The 444 tattoo twin, soul sister, and ultimate hype queen. She’s the keeper of secrets, the one who knows exactly when to cheer you on and when to keep it real. She’s Nathan’s godmom (aka family for life) and one of Kelsey’s forever people—someone this day simply wouldn’t feel complete without.
Groomsman
James’ best friend, work buddy, and unofficial dance partner. By day, they hustle side by side, and by night, they’re usually found tearing up the dance floor (sometimes with moves no one asked for, but everyone enjoys). He’s the guy who keeps James laughing, keeps things running, and will definitely keep the party going.
Bridesmaid
Scotty’s better half and honestly, she probably should’ve been on James’ side (but after a very intense game of rock, paper, scissors… Kelsey won). Lexy might be “one of the guys,” but she’s also the ultimate girls’ girl—the perfect mix of tough, loyal, and glam. She can hang with the groomsmen’s chaos and slay with the bridesmaids, basically making her a double agent at this wedding.
Groomsman
Another brother-from-another-mother, Willie is the calm in the middle of this storm. While the rest of the guys are plotting questionable dance moves and late-night chaos, he’s the one keeping it cool (and probably shaking his head with a laugh). He’s loyal, steady, and always down for a good time—just don’t be surprised if he’s also the one making sure everyone actually makes it to brunch the next morning.
Bridesmaid
Caitlin may be Kelsey’s newest friend, but it feels like she’s been there forever. Neighbors, co-workers on opposite shifts, and teammates in raising their kids, they’ve built a sisterhood rooted in everyday life. Add in the countless concerts they’ve screamed through side by side, and it’s clear Caitlin is more than a friend — she’s family. On the wedding day, she’ll bring that same love, laughter, and fearless energy to the dance floor.
Groomsman
James’ actual big brother, six years older and just a little wiser (don’t worry, he reminds James of that often). He’s the guy with the advice, the perspective, and the “I’ve seen this before” energy that balances out the crew’s chaos. Basically, he’s proof that you can survive life with James as a little brother—and still show up ready to celebrate him in style.
Bridesmaid/Wedding Officiant
She’s been by Kelsey’s side since they were 15, which means she’s basically earned a lifetime achievement award in patience. Not only is she standing up as a bridesmaid, but she’s also our officiant—aka the brave soul trusted to make this official. Double the power: she can marry us and spill teenage Kelsey secrets if she really wants (please don’t, Alysse). She’s got the perfect mix of sass, heart, and humor—exactly what you want in both a bestie and the person marrying you.
Groomsman
The cool, calm, and collected stepbrother… though the “step” doesn’t really matter in this family. He fits right in as if he’s always been there, bringing an easygoing energy that balances out the wild side of the group. Honestly, his chillness is probably the only reason half the guys won’t lose their ties (or shoes) before the night is over. Josh proves that family is way more about love than last names.
Wedding Planner
By day, she’s Kelsey’s boss. By night, she’s her “old age” bestie (self-proclaimed, of course). She’s not only wrangling spreadsheets at work but also wrangling this entire wedding—which basically makes her the MVP. Equal parts sass, wisdom, and “let me fix this real quick,” Crystal is the one keeping Kelsey employed and making sure we actually get married. Honestly… without her, this whole thing might just be a Pinterest board and some glitter.
