We met in graduate school during our first studio class (shoutout to our shared voice teacher, Randy). After a couple weeks of school and opera rehearsals, we had finally determined that the other wasn't a serial killer, and decided to take a grocery trip together. We were able to have a real conversation for the first time and found we really enjoyed each other's company and had a shared sense of humor. It was on that fateful grocery trip that Bailey boldly stated to Nathan, "We're going to be best friends." Spoiler alert: she was right.
After a whole semester's worth of grocery trips, Natty Bo's at Mt Vernon Stable & Saloon, and fervently denying to the Peabody populace that we were more than just friends, our dear friend Christa decided to take things into her own hands. With the help of some liquid courage, Christa told us separately that the other was interested romantically. If it hadn't been for Christa's well-intentioned meddling, who knows if we ever would have plucked up the courage to so eloquently ask, "Do you LIKE like me?"
Years of love and laughter eventually led to us getting engaged in the library of the school that started it all. Our loved ones came from all over for the momentous occasion, marking it the first time we had the opportunity to blend our families. We are beyond excited to reunite our families and rope in our best friends for an epic weekend of celebrating. Now let's PARTY!
