Question

What is the vibe like for the Welcome Party?

Answer

Think karaoke night with friends and family! We'll have light bites (not a full dinner), a cash bar for drinks, and plenty of opportunities to mingle, sing, and dance. Kids are welcome to join the fun at the welcome party, even if they won't be attending the wedding. We can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is an ALL-BLACK ATTIRE event. Ladies — Midi or maxi dresses are perfect (no prints or patterns, please). Gentlemen — black and/or white dressy short- or long-sleeve shirts paired with dress pants or slacks. We’re going for a sleek, coordinated and stylish look. SHOES: Neutral tones are encouraged. Ladies, please avoid stilettos (think wedges, block heels, or dressy sandals instead). Gentlemen, clean-looking or dress shoes are preferred. We know we’re in Hawaii, but please — absolutely no slippers!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As much as we’d love to include everyone, our guest list is limited — so we’re only able to include the names listed on the invite as well as on this site when you RSVP. Thanks so much for understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We adore your kids, but this will be an adults-only event. We hope you can join us for a night of celebration (and maybe a kid-free getaway!).

Question

Where is the venue located, and how far is it from where I'll be staying?

Answer

Kualoa Ranch 49-560 Kamehameha Highway Kaneohe, HI 96744 The drive from the 'Alohilani Resort (our room block location) is approximately 40 minutes without traffic. Keep in mind that island traffic can be unpredictable, so plan accordingly!

Question

Will there be parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Complimentary parking is available for guests at the venue. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow time for parking and getting to your seats. Driving in? Just follow the Paliku Gardens signs once you reach the address — there’ll be plenty of signs showing the way up the hill to the ceremony.

Question

Can I use rideshare for transportation?

Answer

Please be mindful that rideshare services like Uber and Lyft can be limited or difficult to find in this part of the island. We highly recommend arranging transportation ahead of time — whether that’s carpooling, renting a vehicle, or coordinating with other guests.

Question

If I am riding the charter bus, where do we meet and when?

Answer

The exact address of the meet up spot is: 2490 Kalākaua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815 This is across the street from the 'Alohilani Hotel (where room block is booked). The bus will leave promptly at 2:00pm to ensure guests timely arrival at the wedding venue. Please don't be late, the bus will not wait for anyone!

Question

If I will be driving, are there specific instructions to get to the venue?

Answer

Yes, Kualoa Ranch is a large property, and certain areas are used for public tours. However, the wedding will be in a separate, private section of the ranch and will not overlap with any tour locations. *Please follow the instructions below: 1. Using any GPS navigation application, type in Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch, and follow that route provided to the guest parking. If that is not displaying, type in 49-560 Kamehameha Hwy. Kaneohe, HI 96744 2. When you turn into the Ranch parking lot KEEP RIGHT at the fork (it is a one-way road). 3. Continue driving through the parking lot up the hill labeled with the sign “Authorized Vehicles Only” to the right (there are usually green ranch buses parked near this road). PLEASE DRIVE VERY SLOW, THE RANCH HAS LOTS OF TOURS AND FOOT TRAFFIC IN THE AREA. 4. Carefully follow this road to the top of the hill, over the Horse Crossing (there are often many ranch guests, vehicles, and horses in this area. Please be mindful of your speed). 5. Follow the road to the top of the hill, veering up the right-hand side to the labeled “Guest Parking” areas. You may park in any of the labeled grassy lots. 6. Walk to the green pavilion to meet your party.

Question

Can I take pictures and/or videos during the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

CEREMONY — We kindly ask that our ceremony be an unplugged moment - please refrain from taking photos or videos so everyone can be fully present as we say “I do.” Our photographers and videographers will capture everything for us to share later. RECEPTION — During the reception, photos and videos are welcome! We just ask that you please be mindful not to block or stand in the way of our photo and video team. DANCING — Once it’s time to hit the dance floor - knock yourselves out! Snap, record, and make all the memories you can for us to look back on!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes — there will be an open bar! Drink, dance, and celebrate with us, but please do so responsibly. Make sure you’ve got a DD (designated driver) or a ride home — we love you and want you safe!

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you wish to honor us with a gift, we kindly encourage monetary gifts, as they’re easiest to manage while traveling and will help us begin our future together.

Question

What should I bring to the wedding?

Answer

Since the wedding will be held on a ranch, you may want to bring a few essentials such as sunscreen, bug spray, and any personal touch-up items like deodorant or perfume/ cologne. Just keep in mind that island weather can be unpredictable, so it's always good to come prepared!

Question

Will there be a money dance?

Answer

Yes, we will be doing a Money Dance. The Money Dance is a Filipino wedding tradition where guests can dance with the bride and groom and offer a small monetary gift as a gesture of celebration, support, and well wishes for the newlyweds' future together. Bills of any kind can be pinned onto bride or groom. Please note: PARTICIPATION IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.

Question

Can I request a dietary accommodation?

Answer

If you have any dietary restrictions, please mention them when you RSVP so we can accommodate you!
