To fly into Perú, you must fly to the international airport in Lima, then buy a separate ticket to fly into Cusco about 1.5-hour flight. To take the bus/drive is double the distance for a 21-hour journey as Cusco is in the mountains, making flying more convenient.

Alejandro Velasco Astete Internation Airport (CUZ)

The airport is a 20-minute drive to the main square in Cusco called the Plaza de Armas where the church ceremony takes place and 9-minute drive to the reception area. There are taxis all over surrounding the airport waiting to drive and you can practice your bargaining for the price.
