Daniel and I first met on Jan 4. 2016 when he walked into my office for training his first day. Since it was the first Monday back from the holidays I was not prepared for his training (I just looked at him and asked who he was:), but it all worked out for his first week. He would tell you differently, but at least I took him out to lunch. Then in April, I went to visit our Reston office where we met again. He asked me to lunch and I accepted, but once lunchtime came around and he came to my office asking if I was ready I told him I wasn't hungry, but that didn't stop Daniel.. We spent most of lunch talking about his "eventful" life and things we both enjoyed doing. We then agreed we should go hiking sometime since I knew of some great places. We eventually went to Carl's deli for food and then went back to work. After I left Virginia, he follows up with a Facebook message to make sure I made it home safe. At this point, I knew what he was doing and after 2 days of messaging back and forth I asked him if he was ever going to ask for my number. After that, we went on several dates and the rest is history.

The day started with Daniel saying we were going hiking but that we were meeting our friends for brunch first. We arrived and he said that they were running late, so we decided to walk around Federal Hill Park. Once we were looking at the gorgeous view all I hear is him telling me that he loves me and wants to spend the rest of his life with me and I turn to look at him and he is down on one knee with a beautiful ring. He will have to tell you his entire account of the day because once he got down on one knee I barely remember anything said next :)
