We met in 2015 while at work. We talked for well over an hour and didn't see each other for another year. After talking on social media for a while we exchanged numbers and began our journey together. A year later we found ourselves happily living together with two kids and a dog :). We could not be more excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with each of you, who have played (and will continue to play) such an important part in our adventure!

We went to what I thought was a routine "date night" to the melting pot, followed by liquor infused ice cream. He wanted to go for a walk on the Riverwalk, and I'm thinking this fool know I get cold easily PLUS I have on a dress PLUS I'm eating ice cream! But me not wanting to be a party popper followed along with his plans. On the drive to the river walk, he stopped at a gas station to use the restroom, then we proceeded to our destination.  By the time we get there I'm freezing and thinking to myself "he really about to make me take this cold dog gone walk like he doesn't care that I'm cold"! I got out of the car and he gave me his jacket.... We walked for a little while and then he found the swings overlooking the river and we walked over and sat down. He pulled out a few scratch-offs that he picked up at the gas station. (Y'all know we love our scratch offs!!!!) He handed me one, and he kept two then gave me a quarter. I started scratching and playfully rubbed it in his face that I just won 20 dollars.  Under where I won there was a diamond that read "scratch here to reveal bonus prize" so I did. And I noticed a word so I read it out loud "will you marry me".... Now my slow behind looking like what's my bonus prize so I read it again out loud "will you marry me"? Looking confused I lowered the card and looked up 🤷🏾‍♀️🤔 and there he was... On his knee with this beautiful ring saying what sounded like the best words of a love song.... Of course I said yes!!!!!
