Birthing Cave
A peaceful, tucked-away cave with expansive views—known for its calm, grounding energy and wide stone opening. Mescal Mountain Loop with Birthing Cave
A scenic loop connecting three iconic Sedona trails with red rock views the entire way. Add on the Birthing Cave detour for one of Sedona’s most popular cave overlooks and photo spots. Difficulty: Moderate Distance: ~7 miles round trip (including Birthing Cave) Elevation Gain: ~500 ft Time Needed: 2.5–3 hours Trail Type: Loop + detour Trailhead: Mescal Mountain / Long Canyon area Main loop includes Mescal Mountain, Long Canyon, and Deadman’s Pass trails. Birthing Cave detour adds approximately 1.5 miles roundtrip.
Subway Cave

Airport Loop Trail
An easy, scenic loop with sweeping red-rock views—perfect for sunrise, sunset, or a laid-back stroll with big payoff. Bell Rock Pathway Trailhead Parking Lot
