It all started on the morning bus. We rode the same bus and were in the same AM Kindergarten class, which gave Gage the perfect opportunity to immediately make fun of Madison’s Cinderella toy. Rude! By third grade, the dynamic hadn’t changed much. Madison spent a significant amount of time threatening to report Gage to the teacher for his blatant disregard for classroom rules. Sparks were clearly flying. Fast forward to high school, where a teacher assigned us seats across from each other. Madison looked into Gage’s eyes and literally saw her entire future. She caught feelings immediately. Gage? Totally oblivious. By sophomore year, the universe finally clued Gage in, and we both started falling; just in time for a global pandemic to shut the whole world down. We managed to salvage a first date that summer, after which Madison promptly delivered the ultimate blow: "I think we should just be friends." (Sorry, Gage.) Thankfully, the friendzone was short-lived. On Madison’s 17th birthday, she came to her senses, confessed her feelings, and by October 13th, 2020, it was official. Five years later, on September 10th, 2025, Gage took Madison to the beach at sunset, got down on one knee, and asked her to be his forever. From kindergarten enemies to husband and wife, the rest is history!
