We met through mutual friends while we were attending Murray State during our senior years. We spent countless hours with our group of friends at my apartment in CEV South, where we slowly became close friends over the course of a year. As time went on, our journeys of bettering ourselves individually led us to each other. We became more than just friends; we became partners. Now here we are, ready to take the next step and face whatever the world has in store for us, as we become happier and choose to love each other everyday.
Not far from where it all started, a rose-petal pathway led to where we first told each other we would marry one another someday. The second we said it to each other, I knew that on that very back porch I would propose to her. Little did I know just how special it would be. Kailyn walked outside to see me sitting next to a basket full of some of her favorite things and items that represented some of our favorite memories together. At the bottom of this basket lied a letter I had written to her. After she finished reading the letter, I asked her to join me in the rest of our lives as partners in crime. Following the proposal, I surprised her by gathering her with friends that were in Murray for a surprise engagement party, just the way it all started as we began the next chapter of our lives.
