We met through social media, well Tinder actually, which is no surprise to most of our friends and family. Our story began with exchanging texts, phone calls and endless face time calls for about 2 weeks. I had already booked a flight to stay with my mom for a couple weeks since I had still lived in Massachusetts. Gage just so happened to be coming home for a weekend that I was visiting my mom. Gage picked me up on a Friday night from my mom's house in Georgia. We hung out with some friends of Gage's to break the ice as it was our first time being together in person and keeping our "first date" as casual as it gets. (which I enjoyed more than a fancy dinner and the pointless small talk that comes with most first dates.) It was his first time being home in a few weeks since he had been out of state for work. We drove around, ran errands, & went along with whatever plan fell into our laps that weekend. Once he loaded up the truck that Monday morning and was on his 12 hour drive back to the job site for a month, we quickly knew that we had met our forever person. I went back home while he was working on the road, and got in touch with his best friend Brian who helped me plan a surprise trip back to Georgia without Gage knowing. I had called Gage the night before I was flying in and had asked what his plans were since he had the next day off. I nonchalantly asked, " would you want to pick me up from the airport tomorrow?". Without hesitation, he had just asked "you tell me what time and where I need to be. I will be there!!" I have never heard somebody so excited & anxious to pick me up from the airport. Seeing each other after a few weeks apart and felt like an eternity, but at the same time not a day had passed once we were in the truck together. The connection we both have felt since day one is something words cannot describe. We are beyond blessed to have found our best friend & forever person.
